Then, he traveled to Parvati Kund by car to begin his day-long Adi Kailash Pilgrimage, offered prayers at Parvati Kund, and meditated for 25 minutes facing Adi Kailash. He also became the first sitting PM to offer prayers there. His looks and dress were no different from those of the locals; this shows his respect for the local culture and strengthens the bond between spirituality and rich cultural diversity. He wore a white tribal dress and Ranga Byathala (turban).
The local Rung priests at Adi Kailash temple performed Mati Puja, which was dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. PM Modi also participated in this puja, offering his prayers. He then visited Gunji village, which is 36 km away from Adi Kailash. The local community, dressed in vibrant tribal dress, welcomed him cheerfully. He then met army personnel there and completed his PM-related work.
