Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival Lucknow & transfer to Nepalgunj
Morning arrival in Lucknow station or airport and receive by our driver then transfer to Nepalgunj. Reach in the hotel and refresh. In the evening, our tour manager will brief you shortly about trip program. Today you have rest & relax day in Nepalgunj. Dinner in the hotel.
Overnight Hotel Kalpatru or Similar (twin / triple room with attached bathroom)
- Lucknow to Nepalgunj: approx. 4 to 5 hrs drive
- Scorpio / Bolero Jeep or Tempo Traveler will be facilitate for transfers between Lucknow & Nepalgunj
Day 2: Fly to Simikot (by aircraft) & to Hilsa (by helicopter) then drive to Taklakot
Very early morning, you should be ready to go to the airport for your flight to Simikot. Normally, the flight leaves for Simikot at around 6.00 am, if there is a clear weather in all places (Nepalgunj, en route and Simikot). Delay by an hour OR two is quite normal in this sector. So, passengers are requested not be panic. The flight requires about an hour to reach Simikot. Our representative in Simikot will assist for completing immigration formalities then assist to arrange charter helicopter to fly Hilsa (Nepal border). Upon arrival in Hilsa, our local representative in Hilsa will receive you and escorted to guesthouse or teashop. Here, you have to halt until all group members arrive. Travelers are requested to have patient and let us arrange everything smoothly because we have to wait our Tibetan guide to come border to receive us along with all permit and military formalities which may takes few times. Then after we cross border to Tibet and it takes about an hour to reach Taklakot (Purang – 3700 m.) by drive from Sher (China border). There will be quick security check-in formalities in border and upon reach in Purang town, you should go through custom office for further immigration formalities.
You will be check into hotel at Purang assist by our tour leader & Tibetan guide. Before room check-in, you will have lunch ready at dining hall prepare by our Nepali team. After lunch, you can check into room and take rest. Similarly by evening, you will be serve tea/coffee, snacks, soups and dinner.
Overnight Hotel Himalaya or Hotel Purang (triple sharing room with attached bathroom)
- Nepalgunj to Simikot: 1 hour (by Twin otter aircraft OR Dornier aircraft with 16-18 seats)
- If the weather is not good in Simikot OR en route to Simikot, the flight will be canceled and need to stay back in Nepalgunj for next day retry.
- Simikot to Hilsa: 20 to 25 minutes by B2 (Euro copter) Helicopter with 5 – 6 seats
- Hilsa to Sher trek: 10 minutes
- Sher to Taklakot drive: 1 hour by bus
Day 3: Acclimatization Day
Today you will rest in Taklakot (Purang) for acclimatization with light walking around Taklakot town to adjust your body with Tibet climate. If you have anything remain to purchase for Kailash trekking then you can check those list and buy here from local shop. Meals will serve as per time table given by our leader.
Overnight Hotel Himalaya or Hotel Purang(triple sharing room with attached bathroom)
Day 4: Drive, Purang to Lake Manasarovar (Chiu Gompa) – 4560 m.
Early morning, you will have breakfast and our support team will pack up all kitchen and food logistics to head next destination. Our Tibetan guide will finish immigration procedure and manage security personnel at soonest in the morning then proceed to our most eternal destination – Lake Manasarovar (4560 m- Chui Gompa). On the way, we will take a short break in Rakshas Taal (Lake Ravana) to see the breathtaking views of Rakshas Taal with back ground view of holy mount Kailash. Today you will go for complete parikrama of Lake Manasarovar. While driving around Lake, Pilgrims will take short halt at good place of lake-shore where you will take holy bath and perform puja/homage to Mt. Kailash & Manasarovar as per your own religious way in Lake Manasarovar.
Overnight Guesthouse OR Similar (all dormitory room)–Dharamsala type with Tibetan toilet
- Taklakot to Lake Manasarovar drive: 2 hours
- The distance of Manasarovar circumambulation: 72 km / 3 hrs
Day 5: Drive to Darchen – Tarboche (Yama Dwar) & Trek to Diraphuk (Night at Diraphuk).
After early breakfast, drive to Darchen (1hrs) and continuous journey to Tarboche (Yama Dwar) 8 kms/20 min and start the first day Kailash Parikrama to Diraphuk (13 kms/6 hrs) light pack lunch on the way. Those who want to go for Charan Sparsh our sherpa staff will assist from Diraphuk camp to take further ahead for Charan Sparsh darshan (as per permission given by Chinese military or guide and depend on your health fitness, we will walk as much nearest possible towards Mt. Kailash, there is certain limitation point from where we have to return back). Dinner & overnight at Shishapangma or Wongda Guesthouse.(Dormitory room without attached toilet)
NOTE:- Yatris who do not go for Parikrama will stay Hotel Formant at Darchen or similar
Day 6: Excursion hike to Charan Sparsh
Today is the rest & acclimatize day at Diraphuk for next day Inner Parikrama. After breakfast, our guide will take you for excursion hike upto Charan Sparsh of North face of Mt. Kailash. Also, our climbing guide and Sherpa staff will brief on Inner kora along with training on usage of fixed rope & climbing gears for climbing glacier part of Inner route.

Day 7: Trek, Diraphuk to Zutulphuk (4780 m) via Dolma La Pass or Khandeshang La Pass (5600 m)
This is the toughest day of parikrama. You have to wake up 4 am early in the morning and start trek by 5 am without forgetting to carry pack lunch. Today the trekkers group may divide into two team – one with outer kora via Dolma La Pass and second with inner kora via Kuber Kunda route.
Outer Kora: The journey right from the beginning starts going uphill till to Dolma-La (5600 m) about 4-5 hours then continue descending to the flat valley region, the other side of Dolma-la pass. You will find Shivasthal at Dolma la covered by prayer flags and different offers by prayers like clothings & ornaments.
Descending steep down from high pass, you will be lucky to sight beautiful holy lake – Gauri Kunda at the right side underneath of hill. This is the lake, people believe, where Parvati, the consort of Lord Shiva takes bath. After continue sloping down, you will cross short glacier path and then will find tea shop for lunch break at plain valley. Then after continue easy walk on flat trail but tedious with feel of similar landscape around and never ending. The last leg of the journey is along with the River Bank, up to Zuthulphuk. The high light of the day are Shivasthal, Dolma-La and Gauri Kunda which are on the way.
Inner Kora: Today is the hardest day of the pilgrimage. We will cross Shivasthali – a rocky expanse dotted with stone cairns draped with the clothes left as offerings by pilgrims who come before. From Shivasthali we will leave the main route and turn right before Dolma la pass through a tiny ravine. Further hiking ascent will bring us to a semi vertical ice fall where our guide will fix the rope to climb and cross the glacier level. This climbing is not a technical climbing like expedition , however we should fix the rope for safety . Similarly after climbing, you will pass Khandeshang La pass (5600m) & see Kuber Kunda & East face of Mt. Kailash. Then we will head down the east glacier to our eventual campsite at Zutulpuk monastery (4790m), site of the cave of miracles where the greatest Tibetan yogi Milarerpa meditated and developed the powers of flying. Along the way we will be having wonderful sights of high peaks, streams, waterfalls and mountain caves.
Overnight Local Guesthouse (basic accommodation with dormitory bed room)
- Diraphuk to Zuthulphuk via Gauri Kunda: 22km / 9 to 10 hours trek (approximately)
- Diraphuk to Zuthulphuk via Kuber Kunda: 24 km / 11 – 12 hours trek (approximately)
Day 8: Finish Trek night at Darchen
Today, the trail is easy & flat, so you will complete the journey within 1.5 hours. We will be picked up at the ending point near Darchen by our vehicle, then transferred to the hotel at Darchen (15 min drive).
Zuthulphuk to trek ending point: 1.5 hours walk – 08 km (approx.)
Day 9: Excursion Inner Kora to Nandi & Mt. Kailash
Early morning wake up (2/3 AM) and start for Inner Nandi Parikrama. We will hike to Asthapad (5000m), the South Face of Mt. Kailash, in the very early morning, from where we will offer our prayers to Mt. Kailash, Nandi and Asthapad itself and Trek to Ravana Lingam. With the help of our Sherpa staffs and climbing guide, the climbing rope and necessary climbing gears will be fitted to all members and continue for inner parikrama of Nandi, Saptarishi Caves & Atmalingam. Then back to Darchen and stay overnight at Hotel in Darchen.

(Note:- We cannot guarantee for organizing Inner Nandi Kora upfront, it depends on the authority from China Guide and Chinese Local Police)
Day 10: Exit to Hilsa & Fly to Simikot / Nepalgunj
Morning breakfast and drive to Purang, in the hotel from our kitchen then go for immigration in Taklakot to exit Nepal. Guide will assist us to drive down to Sher border accompany by Military officer and see off us all to exit Hilsa. After customs formalities, you will move down to Hilsa (Nepal Border) by crossing Suspension bridge of Karnali River. Upon arrival in Hilsa, you will have to keep patience with rest in Hilsa guesthouse for a while. You will be called for helicopter flight once our representative confirms the schedule. The helicopter will be shortly arrives and our Hilsa representative will assist you to board in Helicopter for flight to Simikot. Stay overnight at Simikot as per itinerary.
However, if the weather conditions and flight schedule favor us and reached Simikot in time today and again possible to fly from Simikot to Nepalgunj, then we will continue our flight further to Nepalgunj as well. If there is still any passengers remain in Simikot, we will request to keep patience for all rest members as we will continue our flight on next day from early morning to keep our program as per schedule.

Taklakot to Sher drive: 1 hr
Sher to Hilsa trek: 10 min
Hilsa to Simikot: 20 to 25 minutes flight by Helicopter
Day 11: Fly, Simikot – Nepalgunj (fixed wing aircraft) & Departure to Lucknow
In early morning take breakfast and be ready for domestic flight to Nepalgunj from Simikot. Similarly, you will receive by our Nepalgunj representative and will transfer to hotel in Nepalgunj. Then our representative will assist you to transfer Lucknow for your onward journey to home town by arranging suitable transportation as per your group size.

- Nepalgunj to Lucknow: 4 to 5 hours drive
